Some of the condominium owners at Wildwood, N.J., close to Boardwalk’s southern end, aren’t happy campers about this city announced plans of possibly allowing access on wide beaches for recreational vehicles. Mike McCardy, the Ocean Towers condominium owner says for using Cresse Avenue as an egress for RVs for coming on @ off (this beach) isn’t gonna work. There is a lot of traffic, lot of children, and lot of people. It will create hazard to public safety.

McCardy had voiced the concerns regarding allowing the beach access for recreational vehicles during meeting of June 27 City Commissioners’. He says that they aren’t here for the campgrounds. It’s going to be RV park, which is the trailers. There’s lot of support with in the community which they wanna work along with city for finding amicable solution for not having the  RVs parked right in front.

McCardy had also said that if “amicable solution” couldn’t reached the association of condominium will petition this state’s Department of the Environmental Protection (or DEP) and filing an injunction for stopping the recreational vehicles from going to beach @ Cresse Avenue.

Cape May condo owners says no RVs on the beach
In a lot of places through out this city, the vehicular access to beach is only limited by width of the openings. But Cresse Avenue, allows the trucks & other big vehicles for being on to beach. Mayor Ernest Troiano,  says that more than 200 trailers tractor used during in recent concert of Kenny Chesney were brought on to beach through Cresse Avenue. He says that they wanna work along with city for making every one happy. But they should make no mistakes as there is enough of support within the community for hiring study & filing injunction against city for allowed use. They do not want them. They want them for southern side of Convention Center.

McCardy said to the commissioners that southern end of this city is residential area. He says that they are residential. It is more residential as compared to towards center where piers are. All hotels across the Ocean Avenue aren’t residential says Troiano. Some are commercial. This city is now looking at possibility of getting the recreational vehicles on the beaches for helping to generate some revenue.
